Highland.

It’s just one thousand meters above sea level. Mountain ranges,

passes and peaks of one and a half – two thousand meters.

Not that high, as it may seem, though the life here differs much

from the lowland.

It is always by 5-10 degrees colder here, the weather changes

fast, the summer here is shorter and the winter is longer.

The highland nature is tougher and people depend on it much.

Here the man and the wild are in close relations.

The yards are scattered over the large area. The dwellers of the

farthest could stay in highlands for weeks. They do not miss valley.

All the needed is right in the upland. Here they bake their

breads and one can pray in the little chapel.

It is in the highland that you will catch the feeling of Ukrainian

spaces and unbowed Nature.
